"I want in!"

Through the years at HSP, we’ve met a lot of people enthusiastic about getting involved and becoming a part of the great things we are able to do, here. Helping change someone’s life for the better is a rewarding experience, to be sure.

However, this is the first time we have had animals wanting to get involved.

Last night, Sarah, our Senior Citizen Project coordinator, was in the office afterhours, getting some work done, when she heard a tapping at the front door. Usually, this is how scary movies start, but what Sarah found was far from frightening.

A Mallard duck was tapping on the front door, wanting to get into HSP! He just patiently tapped on the door until he got someone’s attention. Who could blame him? It’s a great place to be.

Unfortunately, we cannot have ducks wandering around HSP, but we were happy to let him and his girlfriend take up residence in our front lawn!
