United Stationers Backpack Donation to Army Trail School

            Our friends at United Stationers in Carol Stream have graciously donated 200 backpacks filled with school supplies to needy children who attend Army Trail School in Addison.  United Stationers contacted HSP to set up a donation that would impact local children in need; Army Trail School has a high population of needy children, and is one school we serve through our Children’s Birthday Project.  The backpacks were distributed to students by several United Stationers employees this past Thursday evening at a start of the school year event held at the school.  

United Stationers of Carol Stream have partnered with us in the past to help children in need; two years ago, they did a similar event for another one of our partners, Lake Park Elementary, which is also located in Addison.  The donation provided to the students of Army Trail School is part of the local initiative to help needy children; as a whole, the United Stationers Foundation provides 65,000 backpacks to needy children nationwide.  Thank you, United Stationers, for your continued support and donations to children in need!
