Last Call for Last Fling Volunteers

Last week, we mentioned that we are looking for volunteers for Naperville Jaycee’s Last Fling Festival to support local charities.  As Labor Day is quickly approaching, along with the festival itself, it is now your last chance to sign up to volunteer for HSP at the event.  As a volunteer, not only will you be supporting this fun festival, but will also be directly earning money for our Feed the Kids program. 

The Last Fling Festival is put on every year during Labor Day weekend; the festival runs from Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1 this year.  The festival holds a number of fun opportunities for attendees and volunteers, including performances from hit band such as Smashmouth, O.A.R., and 7^th Heaven; festival fun and games; food contests and wine tasting; and tons of food to eat, all while supporting local charities like HSP. 

If you would like to volunteer at the Last Fling for HSP, you have a number of different options for how you may spend your time, such as working at the food or beverage tent, selling tickets, working at Family Fun Land, and many other opportunities throughout the festival. The times available for volunteering are as follows:

·         Thursday, August 28:  4 PM – 8 PM

·         Friday, August 29:  4 PM – 11 PM

·         Saturday, August 30:  9 AM – 1 PM; 1 PM – 6 PM; 5 PM – 11 PM

·         Sunday, August 31:  9 AM – 1 PM; 1 PM – 6 PM; 5 PM – 11 PM

·         Monday, September 1:  8 AM – 1 PM; 1 PM – 5PM; 5 PM – 8 PM
