Labor Day weekend is upon us, and
many are feeling excitement and anticipation for the weekend: barbeques to be had, friends to see, and a
nice time to relax before getting back into the groove of school and work as
Summer comes to an end. Another reason
to be excited for this weekend is that The Naperville Jaycees are putting on
the Last Fling Festival! The festival
runs from Friday through Monday, and it is a good way to have fun while feeling
good about the way you are spending your weekend.
The Last Fling offers a way for you
to not only treat yourself, but to also treat others. As an attendee of the Last Fling, you are
supporting local charities and non-profit organizations, helping them raise
money so they can continue their services to those who need them most. HSP will be one of many non-profit
organizations that will be helping at the Last Fling, along with receiving
funds from the event. The money we
receive from the event will be put towards our Feed The Kids program, which
helps needy children and their families during the summer months when food is
scarce.
There
are many fun activities each day of the event, such as food eating contests,
wine tasting, a carnival, Family
Fun Land
So,
if you’re looking for something fun to do this Labor Day weekend, consider
going to the Last Fling one or all of the days it’s being put on! It’s sure to be a good time, and you can feel
great knowing that you’re making a difference in your local community through
