Calvary Church Comes to HSP to Volunteer!

Humanitarian Service Project (HSP) was thrilled today to have seven helpful volunteers from Calvary Church in Addison come and lend a hand.  The group of women spent two hours sorting paper products for the needy seniors we serve, as well as helping HSP get ready for our delivery day to the seniors this Saturday. HSP provides 123 seniors 100 pounds of groceries each, every month; including paper products (paper towels, tissues, and toilet paper.) The group put together 223 packages of paper products and created custom food packages for the seniors on special diets.
This week happens to be National Volunteer Week. This week is a time to encourage everyone to look into helping better their communities by volunteering their time. This group from Calvary Church took to the activities they assisted us with enthusiastically and with great attitudes, truly embodying the spirit of generous, heartfelt volunteerism that this week represents. We wish to thank them for helping us serve the very needy and deserving seniors in our program.
