Comfort Keepers Pairs Up With HSP to End Hunger

Comfort Keepers has partnered up with the HSP to help end hunger for needy senior citizens. They started a challenge to collect 10,000 lbs of food for senior citizens in 2011 and have nearly hit the halfway mark.

All the donated food gets sorted and delivered to 120 needy senior citizens in our Senior Citizen Program every month. Each senior gets 5 bags of fresh fruits and vegetables and non-perishable foods, 2 bags of paper products, and 7 selections of frozen meat.

In addition, Comfort Keepers is partnering with local health care providers to help collect non-perishable goods. They have set up donation bins at the multiple locations where anyone can donate as much as they please. These bins are monitored by Comfort Keepers and all the donated food is brought directly to Humanitarian Service Project in Carol Stream.

Food donations are accepted at:

  • Comfort Keeper’s Office, 221 E. Lake Street, Suite 212, Addison IL
  • Addison Park District, 120 E Oak Street Addison IL
  • First American Bank 1780 W Fullerton Avenue Addison, IL
  • MB financial Bank, 1170 W Army Trail Road, Addison IL
  • Mills Park Tower 1025 Pleasant Place, Oak Park IL
  • Oak Park city Apartment, 675 Lake Street, Oak Park IL
  • Oak Park Township Senior Services, 418 S Oak Park Avenue, Oak Park IL
  • Humanitarian Service Project 465 Randy Road, Carol Stream IL

This initiative only proves how kind and generous Comfort Keepers has been to us and therefore we would like to convey our greatest appreciation and thank them for their hard work and consideration. By partnering with such an organization we hope to get one step closer to ending hunger. Thank you Comfort Keepers!
