Liberty Mutual Helps Celebrate 33 Birthdays

            Remember being a kid and looking forward to going to work with your mom or dad on Take Your Child to Work Day? You didn’t have to go to school, and hey, maybe you’d find out your parents actually did something interesting. Last week, Liberty Mutual saw an opportunity in their Take Your Child to Work Day and spent it collecting party supplies and putting together Party-in-a-Bag kits for needy kids. They bought enough supplies to put together an amazing 33 kits, and for that, we are very thankful.

            We were pleasantly surprised to see some of our friends from Liberty Mutual when they dropped off the kits earlier this week. All of them were packaged wonderfully in fun gift bags, and you could tell that a lot of time and care went into each of them. The Party-in-a-Bag kits are part of the 20-25 lb. Birthday Boxes we distribute through the Children’s Birthday Project. Each kit includes various supplies you would need to throw a birthday party – cake mix, frosting, candles, plates, balloons, party hats and party decorations.

Local Liberty Mutual Associates volunteer annually for their “Serve with Liberty” event, which they volunteered at last month on May 2 and 6. We are very honored that they took extra time to help out HSP as well.
