Yesterday, we said farewell to one of the fantastic members
of our intern team, Mandy Larsen. Mandy contributed an immense amount of hard
work and dedication to HSP. Since January, Mandy has been a key part of the HSP
family, and upon her departure Mandy will be dearly missed.
Mandy completed
her internship at HSP for her Community Service Practicum through the Adler
School of Professional Psychology. During her time at HSP she had contributed a
lot to helping with the Senior Citizen Project. Mandy’s primary role was interviewing
and writing “Senior Updates” on the impoverished seniors we serve. The Senior
Updates are done once a year with the purpose of keeping HSP up to date on all
the seniors sponsored in the Senior Citizen Project. Senior Updates are
necessary in both keeping up to date with the specific needs of each senior, while
also keeping a personal relationship with the seniors. A good relationship with
each senior, along with the knowledge of their lives helped Mandy do an
outstanding job creating both informative and personal Senior Updates.
Here at HSP, we would like to issue a final thanks to Mandy who spent her time helping HSP make a difference in the community through her positive attitude, caring nature, hard work, and her ability to create accurate and interesting Senior Updates. Without her help, it would have been immensely more difficult to do the things that we do. Thank you again and we wish you the best in everything you do!
