Starting today, the
Humanitarian Service Project has new holiday business hours from November until
mid January! We are now open at 9am
and we close at 5:30 Monday through
Friday. We changed our hours because we are preparing for the busy holiday
season and our Christmas Offering. HSP is working diligently to help many needy families and seniors with
gifts and food! For this year’s Christmas Offering, HSP is providing 150 families with 250 pounds of food each, as well as,
providing gifts and presents for 1200 children and 120 seniors! In order to
provide these needy families and seniors with gifts and food this holiday
season we will need your help!
If you are not able to donate
time to volunteering then a food drive or paper drive is for you! HSP is always in need of non-perishable food items as well as paper and
personal care items. You can gather your friends from your church group,
bowling group, coffee group, any group and start a food or paper drive in your
community! Your group can also raise money to sponsor a family this holiday
season for just $60 dollars. Another great group activity, as well as a
wonderful individual opportunity, is to sponsor a child or senior with a giving
tree donation! When you call in for giving tree donations you can choose how
many children or seniors you would like to purchase gifts for.
We are looking for some
wonderful volunteers to donate a meal to a senior this November. You can cook a
meal for them personally or you can choose to pick up a meal that the senior
chooses from a partner restaurant, and deliver it to their home.
