New Intern Joins The HSP Team!

We would like to welcome the newest member of our team, Ashley!  Hailing from Aurora, Ashley is a senior at Northern Illinois University, majoring in Corporate & Organizational Communications with a specialization in public relations.  As HSP’s Public Relations intern, she will be assisting HSP with press releases, outreach, and keeping the community informed and engaged with everything that is going on at HSP. After she graduates in December, Ashley hopes to develop her skills in public relations and business management through graduate work in International Business.

She has had quite a bit of experience working with non-profits even before coming to HSP.  Ashley has always had an interest in service work, having done extensive work for the Semper Fi Fund, which financially helps injured Marines and other members of the U.S. Armed Forces. While in high school, she coordinated services for DuPage County P.A.D.S (an organization which helps homeless individuals in DuPage County) in addition to volunteering her time at a local nursing home. 

When Ashley is not busy with school, work, and volunteering, she loves to spend time with her family and four dogs. Ashley says she is really looking forward to working with HSP, and we, in turn, are excited to have her on the team. Please join us in welcoming Ashley to HSP!
