Today HSP hosted 10 volunteers from Glenbard
South High School. This transitions group volunteers on a monthly basis to gain
both vocational skills as well as give back to the community. This was their
first time volunteering their time since school has been back in session and we
were very happy to welcome them back. The group consisted of 7 students and 3
staff members. Our volunteers helped in the warehouse for two hours, sorting
and doing inventory of meat for the Senior Citizen’s Project. They also sorted non-perishables
for SCP—just in time for our delivery that’s coming up on Saturday September 20th.
We are so excited to have been able to host this group again and hope to see
them back soon.
